Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to personal data you provide through studiocaster.com. It covers this website only. The Studiocaster application at app.studiocaster.com is covered by the agreement between us and the station operating that account.

Who we are

Studiocaster Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. We are registered in Ireland under company number 645238, at 5a Quinsborough Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow, A98 HY48, Ireland.

You can contact us about anything in this policy using the contact form. That form is the only contact route we publish.

What we collect, and why

The contact form

When you register your interest we ask for:

• your name, your station and your email address — these are required so that we can reply;
• your country, the size of your station, the best time to reach you, the nature of your enquiry, and your message — these are optional and help us give a useful answer.

We use these details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and to have the conversation that follows from it. We do not add you to a marketing list, we do not sell or share your details, and we do not use them for automated decision-making or profiling.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our product, and where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

How form submissions reach us

The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which passes your submission to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as a processor for that delivery and applies its own spam filtering. Your submission is transmitted over an encrypted connection.

Once a message reaches us it is held in our email system for as long as the enquiry and any resulting relationship remain relevant, and is then deleted.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how this site is used — which pages people read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether anything is broken. We do not use advertising or remarketing features.

Google Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode, denied by default. That means:

• until you accept, no analytics cookies are stored on your device. Google receives an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed;
• if you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (typically _ga and _ga_<id>) that distinguish one browser from another, so returning visits are not counted as new ones;
• your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under sc-consent so that you are not asked on every page.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Google's own handling of the data it receives is described in its privacy policy.

This site sets no advertising cookies, no social media cookies and no third-party trackers beyond the analytics described above.

Server logs

Our web server and our network provider keep short-lived technical logs — IP address, time, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string — for security and to diagnose faults. These are not used to identify you or combined with anything else.

Where your data is held

Enquiries are held in our email system, and analytics data is processed by Google. Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area; where that happens they rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interests you may object to that use at any time.

Ask us using the contact form and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Children

This site is aimed at people working in radio and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 through it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected in the consent banner as well.
